12 pt. fonts of ATF Bulfinch Oldstyle 41 are now listed. Scans from 2 pages of the 1912 ATF catalog showing Bulfinch are at the bottom of the page. These are all strong fonts designed for serious type setting and are not fonted to be less expensive "collector" fonts.
Bulfinch Oldstyle was designed in 1903 by William Martin Johnson for the Ladies Home Journal. It was released for general sale to printers by ATF in 1905. This type is cast from the original surviving ATF matrices. Note that only the 24 pt cap matrices are in existence, the balance of the mats for other sizes up to 72 pt no longer exist.
As of 2020, we are no longer able to furnish the Bulfinch in any or the sizes. We have sold all the fonted type we had. There appears to be no future casting of the type since the Dale Guild has been closed for a number of years.
