We carry a large selection of suckers, grippers, and other press parts for letterpress and offset equipment.

Please call for quantity pricing on most suckers. Price breaks are at 12 dozen, 41 dozen, and 84 dozen, per sucker. We can supply any of the suckers listed by William B. Rudow, Inc. subject to a $25.00 minimum order on anything we don't stock.

The most common suckers for Kluge presses are the #1, #2, and #3, for Heidelberg platens the #19H red flat disc, and for both Heidelberg platens and cylinders the #22 cone shaped, and GTO #83 for heavy stock.

Some Vandercook parts are listed in this section, but don't panic because the spring you need isn't shown or listed. We have hundreds of Vandercook parts in stock and for us to find the part you need we need the part number as shown in the Vandercook manual for your press. If you can not find the part number, which is common, then take a picture of the part and where it goes on the press and email to us. We have the original assembly drawings and individual part prints for about 99.8% of everything Vandercook made. We maintain the Vandercook blueprint file that contains thousands of original drawings and prints. We usually have one or more Vandercook parts being made for us at any given point both to maintain inventory and to provide for one of a kind parts. After a long wait, we finally have a good supply of the Vandercook crescent CS-23 back in stock--see the first 2 listings.

New in 2019 are Vandercook bearing supports for the SP-20. This is a part that we engineered to correct a problem that almost all SP-20s encounter as they age or are in constant use. The right and left supports as designed have stampings in critical ink roller support areas that get deformed or break over extended use or in abusive use such as encountered in schools. Our new supports have no stampings. They are listed at the bottom of this page.

The Hand-i Lockup Bar has been reintroduced by NA Graphics. Made from original Vandercook blueprints, this bar is a faithful working of this piece of vital equipment, often missing from the press. The X-11410 fits 15 inch wide presses, which Vandercook identified as the #4, SP-15, 15-20 and 15-21 presses. Made from all new parts.

We have a number of used chases for the Heidelberg 10x15 and 13x18 presses. We also have used chases for the 10x15 and 12x18 C&P presses. We have a spider chase for the 10x15 C&P as well. There are other miscellaneous chases like stereotype and some Hohner presses sold by American Printing & Equipment some years back. But we do not have any Kelsey chases for any of their sizes.

Manuals for most Vandercook presses are available from us. Please specify the model you have, i.e., SP-15, #4, Universal I, etc., in the Special Instructions section on the shopping cart page, and include your press serial number. Some manuals are less in price because of the amount of material contained in the manual. A Vandercook manual does not tell you how to print--they assumed anyone buying a press had the necessary skills to operate it but needed the basic maintenance information plus references to part numbers. When requesting parts from NA Graphics, and those are not listed in this web site, we need to know the press model and part number that can be found in the manual. For parts not listed, we have the original Vandercook blueprints and can research what ever it is that may be required, but the manual is an essential part of owning any piece of printing equipment.

"Vandercook SP-15 Bearing Block Assembly--Bearing Block"

Note: Each part of this assembly has to be ordered separately. The bearing block assembly for the SP-15 rollers contains four basic parts as shown in the illustration. The black plastic knob should be attached to the stem with a drop of Loctite. One or all of these parts may need replacing based on wear or inappropriate use. Not included are the Nyliners, or the hold down spring and studs added to the rear roller block assembly in later production year models. Let not the Vandercook manual confuse you as these parts put together for the bearing block assembly are listed in some versions of the SP-15 manual as X-21200, and that is the assembly print number which shows the individual parts listed here. A SP-15 requires 4 bearing blocks, and in addition the X-13123 Nyliners are required (4 each) for the roller core ends and these fit into the bearing blocks.

The first part is the bearing block, X-20457, and the block includes the screw shown. The stem and knob are listed separately with their respective part numbers.

Flanged Nyliners are used in the bearing blocks for the SP-15 ink rollers. These are designed to take the wear from a steel core of the roller rotating in the steel shaft hole in the bearing block. These are supposed to be replaced as the Nyliners wear, and especially if the flange breaks off. Without Nyliners, the roller's cores will destroy the bearing blocks through wear and there is no way to accurately control ink roller setting. Replace all 4 at the same time. Nyliners should have a drop of oil added occasionally. Other Nyliners for other Vandercook models are in stock but are not listed on this website at present--use the Vandercook part number and we can supply what you need. Don't know the part number? Crescents for Vandercook oscillating ink drums, standard for SP, Universal, and #3 and #4 presses, and others. These are new, cast steel made by the lost wax process from the original Vandercook pattern and molds, stems are ground and polished. These need to be well lubricated both in the stem holder with grease and where the crescent rides in the worm. Vandercook recommended Vaseline for the worm, but a good grade of Lithium grease is a good substitute. Never run dry without any lubricant. The crescent holder in the ink drum has to be adjusted so that the crescent does not bottom out, or actually touch the bottom of the channel in the worm or it will cause binding, undue wear and premature breakage of the crescent.
